The Risk Level of Partnering in Internet Marketing
by Nicole Dean
“DON’T DO IT — NEVER get involved with a Partner!”
That’s the advice I got from my family when I mentioned that I wanted to partner with other
Work at Home Moms on projects.
Of course there are bad experiences everywhere, but there are many ways you can
minimize your risk. Be selective when choosing partners on projects and lay
everything out in writing before you start (preferably in a
written, signed contract).
What I want to put into perspective today is the risk of partnering on an
Internet Marketing project.
The beauty of Internet Marketing is that there isn’t much of an up-front
investment to begin a project.
You’ll need a domain name ($10 or less), the
hosting ($1-$7 month) and maybe a
logo or autoresponder (if you don’t already have one). It’s not like you’re
buying a franchise with a partner for $800,000. We’re talking about very little
capital — which means, little risk.
However, of course, you’ll want to minimize your risks, and be choosy about who
you’d partner with. For now, I want you to just turn
off the nay-sayers and open your mind. Think of some of the bright, hardworking women you’ve met
online. Do you think that you could work together to make a great product,
service, website, or store? You betcha.
